Starting high school is one of the most significant changes in a student’s life and students in Year 7 have been commended for the way in which they have started the year.
It will be a very busy first week for Year 7 with time being spent meeting new teachers and friends, learning how to navigate around the school, finding out where all their classes are and attending network and BYOD orientation sessions.
Year 7 students were warmly welcomed into the school community by principal Ann Caro.

Over the coming weeks, the students will be given plenty of opportunities to form new friendships, particularly through the Peer Support Program. Each student will be been given a Year 10 buddy group. This program is full of challenges that encourage students to fully immerse themselves into school life and Year 7.
“They will be become the graduates of 2023, with six years to achieve their aspirations. Starting High School can sometimes be overwhelming but we look forward to the journey together,” student advisor Michael George said.
Year 7 will also be supported by Deputy Principal Jeff Dean, School Learning Support teams and subject teachers. The school invited families to become involved within the school, to participate in both learning experiences and in the broader school life.
The first P&C meeting will be held next Monday, February 5 at 6pm in the hall foyer and all are welcome.
