Most schools are returning this week, with many students back today. There will be a little longer wait for these brand new starters. Elizabeth and Dylan will attend Lithgow Public School on February 5.

After completing preschool at The Scots School Lithgow, Dylan and Elizabeth were very excited to be heading into kindergarten.
Elizabeth said she was most looking forward to “meeting new friends”, while Dylan already knew some of his future schoolmates and was excited to have a catch up.
All schools have been gearing up for their students’ return, with some schools ready to roll out the welcome mat for their newest recruits this week.
La Salle Academy principal Joyce Smith gave a warm welcome to the new students, especially those in Year 7, who will be starting school on January 30 along with Years 10 and 12. Years 8, 9 and 11 return on Wednesday. La Salle is also pleased to welcome a new assistant principal, Rachel Hughes, in 2018.
Lithgow High School’s Year 7 students will also be arriving for their first day on January 30 along with the senior students, while Year 8, Year 9 and Year 10 resume on Wednesday, January 31.
