Darryl Goodwin and Deanna Goodsell have been announced as the winners of the April 8 Lithgow City byelection.
The Maree Statham Group candidates both crossed the line after the distribution of preferences at 2pm on Tuesday, April 11.
Ms Goodsell was just trailing fellow candidate Col Hunter this morning, with each gaining about 21 per cent of the first preference vote.
There was little doubt of Mr Goodwin’s securing a seat as he gained almost 40 per cent of first preferences.
It is likely his popularity helped to pull Ms Goodsell over the line.
