I have been heavily involved in the Lithgow community for most of my adult life and I am passionate about the area.
I am employed as a Police Officer in Lithgow and have been working in the town for the past 20 years, 14 of those as a Sergeant of police.
I am also employed as a retained firefighter with FRNSW for the past 14 years and have been on the Board of Directors of the Lithgow Workmen’s Club for the past 16 years.
I am the local White Ribbon Ambassador and a Justice of the Peace.
I am running as an independent candidate. My areas of interest will be centred around what the council can do to encourage business into the local area and making this process easy.
I will also have an interest in youth, tourism, sport and community safety.
DEANNA GOODSELL
I was born and raised in Lithgow in a loving family home as the last of six children. I attended Cooerwull Public School (I’m still there) and Lithgow High School.
I spent 11 years working in the ANZ Bank before leaving to raise Brady now (20) and Bonnie (18). Brady and Bonnie have relocated to further their education and they inspire me every single day!
I have enjoyed a successful sporting career, representing Lithgow at a local, district, state and honoury Australian level over many years, in a variety of sports.
The decision to run for Council, for me was easy. I have a genuine love and passion for our community and its direction. I feel like I can make a positive contribution to its future! I have had no experience in this forum but I believe I am a very worthy candidate.
I would love to represent you, to work hard for you, work for you and most importantly, listen to you!
