Lillian was a life member, a very hard worker, a lovely, talented woman and was very active in the club.
She was the backbone of the Club from the first meeting seeking interest in forming a garden club in Lithgow.
Lillian brought a wealth of experience and held the positions of President, Secretary, Treasurer. Social Secretary, Newsletter Editor and Public Officer.

The Blue Mountains Zone Garden Club hosted the Garden Clubs of Australia National Convention in 2011 with Lillian as Treasurer and Al Ritchie a President. It was a great success. Lillian was honoured with Life Membership in 2014. She will be greatly missed.
Her long time friend, Mr Ritchie arranged a fitting tribute for Lillian and it was decided for her ashes to be scattered under a tree at the Tall Trees Arboretum at Lake Wallace.
A large number of members attended and also planted a tree in memory of their friend.
Following the memorial ceremony, a luncheon was held at the Wallerawang Bowling Club, with lots of reminiscing.
It was a lovely, but sad day.
