It was a busy week at the Lithgow Golf Club with the staging of the Keno two person ambrose championship and a single stableford which was held in conjunction on Saturday (Aug 14).

The Monday Single Stableford was also held along with the usual Wednesday and Friday nine hole events. Coming off a win in the previous week's event Dave Thompson continued his good form with with a third place in the Vets and a win in Friday's event and then teamed up with Chis Keller to win the Keno Ambrose.
Thompson and Keller combined to perfection to finish with a score of 63.75 nett to take out the title and quality for the Regional Keno Championship to be held at Orange.
They will be joined by fellow members Leo and Julie Murnane who took out the mixed title along with the women's winners Olwyn King and Jennifer Wild.
Runners up to Thompson and Keller was the team of Greg Jackson and Damien Marjoram on 64.50 and third placed Gary and Mitchell Wallace on 65 nett.
Other teams to play well and figure in the voucher allocations were Ian Downey and Don Wolfenden, Dave Warren and Larry Williams, Jeff Geddes and Brad Gordon, Anthony Oldfield and Rob Hawes, Justin Nelson and Brian Bourke and Brian Judge and Mark Seckold.
Vouchers cut out on 68 nett ocb.
Nearest to the pins were Chris Keller and Anthony Oldfield.
The stableford that was held in conjunction saw three of the club's former Club champions battle it out for the placings.
The winner was Andrew Burton (scr) with 40 points that saw him score six birdies on his way to a 66.Runner up was Max Nightingale (7) on 38 points and in third spot was Steve Hall (1) with 35 points.
Nearest the pins were Anthony Boza, Rob Ritchie, Harry Bender and Max Nightingale. Vouchers went down to 33 points.
Monday Vets competition (Aug 9) saw a good field enjoy excellent conditions with the win going to Russ Jeffrey with 36 points.
Runner up was Darren Healey on 34 points on a countback from Dave Thompson. Voucher winners were Chris Keller and Rob Peachman.

Wednesday nine hole competition (Aug 11):Winner was Brian Quick on 21 points. Runner up was Steve McCann on 19 points on a countback from third placed Ian Fitzgerald.
Vouchers went to Kev Hughes, Craig Pugsley, Laurie Northey, Tom Jennings, Chis Goodsell and Trevor Thomas. Nearest the pins were Chris Goodsell and Tom Jennings.
Friday nine hole competition (Aug 13):Winner was Dave Thompson on 19 points on a countback from runner up Jeff Geddes. Vouchers went to Howie Fisher and Al Glendinning. Nearest to the pin was Chris Keller.
