All councillors have been contacted and each will get their chance to speak on why they believe they should be voted back in to represent the community.
Next up is Cr Darryl Goodwin and this is what he had to say:
"I will be running in the 2021 local government elections standing as a councillor for the Greater City of Lithgow on the ticket of 'Good for Council', I have been a current councillor for close to five years winning a spot in the 2017 local bi-election.
I have put together a wonderful team of local people who are hardworking, approachable and committed.
I have learnt a lot about local government over the last five years and I have enjoyed my time advocating and representing the community I love. We are endowed with seven amazing valleys that I would like to keep representing. My team and I have the skills, passion and drive to advocate for the entire LGA with integrity.
My team and I will be focusing on our economic health, sustainable employment, tourism and the arts whilst not losing sight on out core responsibilities of maintaining our infrastructure and keeping our areas clean and tidy. It is very important over the next term councillors work hand in glove with administration to achieve the absolute best possible outcome for all residents, businesses and visitors. It is our job to acknowledge good work by the administration and work through the difficulties that will inevitably arise.
Previously:
Our team will bring a different culture to the council, a culture of inclusion, teamwork and accountability.
Our team prides themselves on being team players. I don't like using the word "I" as every decision made in council is a team decision. Each and every councillor has made a contribution over the last five years however the final decision about any motion rests with the councillors as a team and no one person owns it. With this in mind I believe that my time on council over the last term has been very productive.
I have been a member of the Economic Development Committee, Sports Committee, Crime Prevention Committee and the Traffic Advisory Committee working with the community for better outcomes.
The Good for Council team will work hard to represent the community and advocate for a safe, progressive and better future. We will be Good for Council, Good for Community and Good for you.
Our team will be revealed on Facebook over the coming days.
If you have any questions do not hesitate to reach out on Facebook messenger or email at goodforcouncil@gmail.com."
