The Lithgow Panthers premier league hockey women's team remain undefeated.
Recently they took a 4-0 win over Orange Cyms and on the weekend they took a 4-1 over Orange Ex-Services on home turf.
Will they be able to take a hat-trick win over all Orange clubs when they come up against Orange United next weekend?
Coach Mick Millar is confident in his ladies side to keep their record intact and says it was satisfying to get the win on Saturday.
"It was great to open the scoring again this week and lead from the front," he said.
"Ex-services scored from a defensive error that brought to the scored back to 1-all but to the girls' credit they held firm to the game plan and scored the remaining three goals without conceding any," Millar said.
Kellsey Charlton bagged two goals while teammates Caitlin Burns and Elissa Marshall also found the back of the net.
"Kellsey again played a solid game causing some headaches for the Ex-Services defence," Millar said.
He said a highlight of the match for him was watching his players take on different roles across the field.
"We shuffled a number of players out of position and it was pleasing to see the team adjust and adapt to the changes," he said.
The ladies will take a break from training this week with no games due to the NSW Open Women's Championships being held in Narellan.
"Many of our players will be playing for Lithgow in second division at these championships," Millar said.
But when training does commence Millar said he will get his squad to focus on the basics and try to further develop the skills of the junior players.
"The junior players have been very committed and bring an extra element of enthusiasm to training."
Millar also wanted to thank the club's sponsors including Lithgow Workies Club, Mega Bolt, Millar Fire Co and Wild Wolgan for their continued support through the 2021 season.
