While on a property with a friend recently, Wayne was looking at an assortment of old rusty relics and you could imagine his excitement when, after pushing through some thick ferns to gain access to a semi open old shed, he was then confronted with the backend of an old Armoured Ferret Scout Car.
Upon further inspection the Ferret appeared in mostly complete condition with the worst being one mudguard missing.
Everything else indicated the vehicle could be back to driving condition with very little effort.
The previous owner couldn't remember the full story of how it came to be, only when it ended up in the shed he never gave it another thought.

A deal was done and Wayne needing a hand to recover the scout called on a couple of long time and know how friends Mark Deveigne and Stan Fowler for a hand.
Open for an adventure they came on board to help out and now Lithgow and Wayne are home to one very important Armoured Ferret Scout Car.
Scout History
The Ferret Scout Mk2 car is an English built vehicle, a six cylinder Rolls Royce engine that can do 80 plus kilometres an hour, has a 130 cal machine gun, and is driven by a two man crew. It runs flat tyres and was issued to the Australian Army.
The Australian Army used Ferrets as scout cars until the 1960s and they were disposed of by public auction in the early 1970s.
