Inclement weather or ground bookings had previously prevented players from competing at the venue on Friday night, making the recent hit out a relief for Lithgow District Cricket Association secretary Ben Sheehan.
"We finally got a game in for the first time on a Friday night, and I look forward to many more," he said.
Lithgow Cougars claimed a 49-run victory over La Salle Hornets after posting 166 runs in the first innings.
Jon Cronin (54) starred for the winning side as he hit five boundaries in a 68 minute stint at the crease.
Blake Caldwell followed closely for the Cougars with 38 runs off 22 balls.
Not only did he shine with the willow, he was dominant with the ball in-hand (3/7) as he took a trio of wickets in four overs of work.
