GOLD Logie winner Grant Denyer has swapped family life on the farm on NSW's Central Tablelands for a stint in the Australian bush in the new series of I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here.
The series premiere went to air on the WIN Network on Sunday night, with Denyer joined by eight other celebrities for a battle against the elements and each other.
He made an inauspicious start to the show, admitting to camera that he had failed to recognise fellow celebrity Jack Vidgen when they met in the bush.
The pair's paths first crossed in 2011 when Denyer was host of the fifth season of Australia's Got Talent, the year Vidgen won the televised talent contest as a 14-year-old, but the young singer's face has undergone a number of cosmetic enhancements since then.
"Don't tell him but I didn't recognise that it was Jack," Denyer said later.
"I saw him when he was a kid when he won Australia's Got Talent, I read out his name at the announcement, but he's all grown up.
"He's like a human sort-of Ken doll."
Denyer's profile on the IACGMOOH website describes the 2018 Gold Logie winner as a "motor-racing driver, Guinness World record holder, great dad and all-round good bloke".

He is also one of Bathurst's favourite adopted sons after moving to the region with his wife Chezzi to raise their two daughters on a farm in Perthville. The Denyers' third child is due in March.
While appearing on IACGMOOH and competing for the title of King/Queen of The Jungle, the celebrities will each raise money for their selected charities.
Denyer has chosen to support The Smith Family's Learning For Life program which, he said, gives people the opportunity to "sponsor a young Australian student".
"Unfortunately, one-in-six Australian students live in poverty and can't afford the basics to go to school, whether it be a dictionary, or a fresh uniform, or they don't get to go on things like excursions," he said.
"It's a great program to try and bring them up to be equal with their fellow students and also make them feel the same."
I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here screens from Sunday To Thursday at 7.30pm on the WIN Network.
