Davies who has been in form with some strong wins in the last few weeks and indeed looked like continuing as he lead 7-1 early.
Fraser kept plugging away just keeping in touch with Davies. It took 15 ends to head Davies before getting away to a 22-13 lead.
As he has shown in previous games Davies never gave and levelled on 22 all and then 26 all. At this stage Fraser picked up a couple of doubles to take the game 31-26 in a close game.
In the club fours Ian McMillan Kim Alexander Bruce Robinson and Des Francis took on Peter Matchett, Pommie Williams, Mike McNamara and Steve Jackson.
With Jackson in form early his side lead 13-1 after 8 ends. The McMillan team started to hit back outscoring Jackson 14-2 in the next 8 ends to level the scores on 15 all.
Jackson picked up 4 shots to McMillan's 2 to lead 19-17 with one to go. They say you only remembered for your last and Matchett made sure of that with a resting toucher allowing Jackson to win 22-17.
The Jackson team backed up to take on Dave Nunan, Daryl Archer, Dick Bulkley and Ross Harrington. It was Nunan who made all the running in the early ends as he played some great bowls to keep his team in the game. After 9 ends it was 8 all and then Nunan lead 9-8.
Jackson kept the Nunan team on 9 for the next 6 ends as his team picked up 10 shots to lead 18-9. With 3 ends to go the lead was 10 but Nunan and team could only manage to score 8 shots for Jackson to win 21-19.
This win puts Jackson into the final against the winner of the Jason Nunan and Jody Taggart semi-final.
In the socials Ron Vidler, Bruce Robinson and Peter Piggott had too many guns for Peter Williams, Jeff Howden and Craig Pugsley winning 22-20 despite losing the ends 8-13.
Barry Jackson, Boon Hayley and Greg Tilley were never headed in their game against Judy Egan, Tiger Feltham and Greg Anderson taking out the game 19-12.
The Thursday night bowlers had an other good night with winners being Pommie and Susie Crowe, Des Francis and Greg Anderson and Annette Anderson, Gai Felthan and Brioney Blyth.
