Schools around the region participated in Crazy Hair Day on Friday, November 13 to raise funds for young local mother Rachel Woolsey and her family to assist her in her fight against Lymphoma.
The students had fun doing all sorts of crazy hair styles and showing them off to their friends.
Wallerawang Public School, who organised the event, were proud to see other schools get involved.
Deputy Principal Amanda Brown said that the event was to help one of their school parents financially with the costs involved with the cancer treatment.
"It was good to get the kids involved in something fun while also giving back to someone in need," she said.
The school has also organised a raffle to raise funds for the family.
The SRC had organised to collect donations since they hadn't been involved in many fundraisers this year due to COVID-19.
