Times are tough, and everything can seem like it's all falling apart, hopeless and negative. But it doesn't have to be that way.
So, in an effort to try to brighten your day, we've started a project to put together a 'Good News Diary' full of the most positive stories and comments from the Lithgow Mercury every week.
This new initiative is something we endeavour to do each Friday, so if you've got some good news share it with us.

Support at the servo
Smiling at a stranger or asking someone how they are can brighten up their day. But 7-Eleven service station worker Jordan Broome, went above and beyond to make sure one of his customers would get home safely by simply having a chat and making a coffee.
The very thankful customer took to Facebook to give Jordan a shout out.
The post read:
"Just want to say thank you very much to the man working at Lithgow 7-Eleven yesterday afternoon. Mate I'm pretty sure you saved my life. I didn't realise how tired I actually was and your help making my cuppa and having a chat making sure I didn't leave right away meant I didn't get to actually thank him so if you know him please let him know I said thank you!!!"
"No need to thank me. I'm just happy to know you got home safely in the end that's all that matters to me. Hope u got some catch up sleep u looked like you needed it haha."
