It may still be winter, but Wednesday morning's temperatures were well below average.
The coldest 'feels like' temperature was recorded in Orange when the mercury plunged to -7.9 degrees, while the actual temperature fell to -3.3.

It was also very cold in Lithgow with temperature falling to -5.1 degrees, with a 'feels like' temperature of -7.8. The city's mean minimum for August is 1.3 degrees.

In Bathurst the temperature dropped to an overnight low of -3.2 degrees with a 'feels like' of -6.0. The mean minimum for the month is 1.1 degrees.
In Mudgee the mercury dropped to -2.9 degrees with a 'feels like' of -6.6. The August minimum mean is 1.5.
Dubbo, while still chilly, was the warmest place to be with a -0.8 overnight and a 'feels like' of -5.0 degrees. Dubbo's mean minimum for the month is 3.1.
Sunny days are predicted for the final few days of winter for the region, but frosty starts will continue.
