District commenced their championships in 2019 and just as well because we didn't know what was around the corner and did it come with a bang, with fires across the state and flooding of greens, all before COVID-19 stopped bowls and people in their tracks for a couple of months.

Pennants were going to recommence on September 22 but Sydney put out a directive on July 30 stating that they had made the tough decision to cancel Pennants for 2020 as a duty of care to their members.

Sue Metcalf was the winner of the District Singles which took place on August 6. Lesley Townsend was the Runner up and both women represented their club the Lithgow Workman's Valley.
Mel Parker and Sue Murray were the Majellan Winners in the Open Pairs. Runners Up went to Robyn Fitzpatrick and Christine Semmler from Lawson.
This game was played at Lithgow Workies on Tuesday, July 14 in challenging conditions of cold sleet drizzly conditions.
Spectators and players were rugged up but not Robyn Fitzpatrick she was playing in short sleeves.
Robyn Stenhouse and Jocelyn Ballard from Majellan were the winners of Senior Pairs played at Lithgow Workies on July, 16. Runners up were the Hazelbrook pair of Sue Barrett and Fay Arnold.
Hazelbrook once again showed what they are capable of when winners Jill Redwood, Isabelle Hurley, and Nancy Fairall took out the District Triples played on February, 19. Runners Up were the Lawson trio of Robyn Fitzpatrick, Mona Soergel and Ruth Smith.
Merle Stephens, Mel Parker, Sue Murray and Pauline Clarke were the runners up in the District Fours played at Portland on November 21, 2019.
This game had Majellan and Hazelbrook going into an extra end at 15 all but Hazelbrook came out victorious by two shots.
