The main event was the ambrose with some brilliant scoring considering the difficult condition of the course which had rivers running through fairways that were covered with water from the previous day and night's torrential rain.
The winners were the brothers in law combination of Paul Bosman and Steve Hall who's played off a handicap 2.25. They combined to perfection to card a nett score of 61.75 nett after shooting an amazing scratch round of eight under.
They played the first nine in 31 which included three birdies and an eagle and then came home over the back nine with a further three birdies.
They will now proceed to the Regional finals at Dubbo where they will play for a place in the final to be played at the Bonville Golf Club near Coffs Harbour.
Husband and wife team Brad and Jo Cornwell also qualified for the regional final after taking out the mixed section of the ambrose with a score of 77.75 nett.
Runners up to Hall and Bosman were Justin Nelson and Brian Bourke on 65 nett with the best scratch score going to the Bender boys Nick and Blake with a score of 67 off the stick. (Prize winners can only win one prize).
Vouchers went down to those with 68 nett and better and they were Mitch Luka and Jarod Bott, Gary and Mitchell Wallace, Damien Marjoram and Jackson Bostock, Jeff Geddes and John Bird, Rod Bright and Michael Casey and Geoff Wheeler and Paul Bailey.
In the single stableford that was also held on the day the winner was Travis Cameron with 37 points which again was a very good score in the trying conditions.
Runner up was Justin McCann who counted out Don Wolfenden with both golfers finishing on 36 points.
Vouchers went down to those with 31 points and better and they were Brian Giblett, Andrew Burton, Frank Mantle, Rod Clarke, Pat Wall, Rob Ritchie, Michael Saville, Michael Hunter and Darren Hunter.

Hole in one:
In other golf club news, good member David Thompson added a further hole in one to his impressive list when he holed out on a par three while playing competition golf at the Glenmore Golf Club near Penrith.
Known usually for his prowess with his distance off the tee with his driver, Thompson has showed his accuracy scoring "aces" at four different golf clubs and now has five.
