A representative from the club said they were 'grateful' to council for reducing their costs.
The Lithgow District teams utilise the Marjorie Jackson Oval as their home ground for training and competition games.
With the impact of COVID-19, competitions were suspended due to the government restrictions put in place to stop the spread of the virus.
The Lithgow District Football Association adhered to the restrictions, suspending competition and training for the first half of the 2020 Season.
As part of the plans to restart the season's competition, the Lithgow District Football Association submitted their COVID-19 safe plan for the use of the Marjorie Jackson Oval.
Under Council's current 2019/2020 fees and charges, the association would normally be charged a total of $2824 for the hire, including lighting of Marjorie Jackson Oval for their seasonal competition and training.
When choosing to reduce the fees by 50 percent, council included the option to retain the 100 percent fee for the bond to retain asset security at Marjorie Jackson Oval.
Lithgow Football Association will now only have to pay a total of $1575 for the season.
In an April meeting, Bathurst Regional Council voted to waive the Parks and Gardens Active Spaces Community Groups user fees, which will save some local associations more than $10,000 this year.
Bathurst District Football stands to save the most money from the decision, at $14,198, while Group 10 clubs Bathurst Panthers and St Pat's each save $10,334.
