In the minor single Peter Matchett took on Daryl McSorley which ended up a cliff hanger.
For a casual bowler McSorley was in great form as he as he lead 9-1 early.
Matchett came back to trail 6-10 but McSorley seemed to have his measure as he went to a 14-6 lead.
It took Matchett 19 ends to finally get back square on 24 all.
A run of 5 ends straight saw Matchett lead 30-25. McSorley kept on keeping on as he got 30 all only to drop a shot to go down 31-30 after a very good effort.
In another game Peter Williams took on junior Lockie Nunan. Despite putting in a good effort the experienced Williams was too good and he came away with a clear win.
In the socials Dave Nunan displayed some of his old form as he and Al Davies cleared out on Bruce Robinson and Des Evans to lead 16-4 after 9 ends.
Robbo and Des came back at the finish but the lead was too great as Nunan and Davies won 23-13.
Craig Brown came back to form as he and Steve Gear took Craig Pugsley and Curtis Brown apart to win 23-16.
Boon lead for both teams as Peter Piggott and Donna Coupland played Jody Taggart and Judy Egan.
After being 12 all at the halfway mark Taggart , Judy and Boon won 27-20.
Despite Boon being impartial he and uncle Pete were seen in deep discussions later in the evening.
Pommie Williams and Kim Alexander lead early against Ron Vidler and Jack Whittaker but dropped the ball to trail 12-8 after 10 ends.
Getting back on track to lead 19-12 Alexander and Williams fell in a heap as Whittaker and Vidler stormed home to draw 21 all.
