Once the frost lifted a big field enjoyed excellent conditions at the Lithgow Golf Club and although the course was still heavy there was some good scores recorded during the stableford event.

The success story of the day came out of A grade when big hitting Rod Bright hit instant form after not having played competitive golf since winning the event back on June 13.
Bright returned 39 points to take out A grade which was also the best stableford score of the day which was set up with an excellent 35 for the front nine.
Runner up to Bright was Travis Cameron on 38 points on a countback while the best scratch score was recorded by star left hander with a 71.
In B grade, the winner was Lachlan Sharp with 36 points ocb from runner Brad Gordon who also finished with 36 points.
Best scratch score was returned by Rob Hawes with an 84.
Jackson Bostock continues to improve and took out C grade with 36 points and Mitchell Blanch was runner up on 35 points.
Best C grade scratch score was Brian Giblett with a 95.
Vouchers went down to those with 33 points and better and they were John Chadwick, John Bird, Luke Oldfield, Brian Judge, Pat Wall, Don Lovett, Gary Wallace, Max Nightingale, Max McCann, Paul Bosman, Joanne Cornwell, Frank Mantle, Ian Northey, Brad Cornwell and Anthony Boza.
Next Saturday's event will be the popular monthly medals.
Nearest the pins went to Kyle Egan, Justin McCann, Harry Bender, Chris Neville and Greg Guest.
The winner of the Wednesday, July 15 nine hole competition was Scott Hunter on 21 points. Second, third and fourth positions saw countbacks and went to Ben Oldfield, Don Farnsworth and Ross King respectively with all three finishing with 19 points.
Vouchers went down to those with 18 points and better and they were Steve Hall, Kev Hughes, Brian Giblett, Laurie Northey, Paul Bosman, Paul Stewart, Anthony Oldfield and Rick Cohen. Nearest the pins were Ross King and Anthony Oldfield.
The winner of the Friday, July 17 nine hole competition was Brad Gordon on 25 points and runner up Brock Egan 22 points.
Vouchers went down to 18 points and they went to Anthony Boza, Michael Casey, Tallan Egan and Jeff Geddes. Nearest to the pin was Anthony Oldfield.
