In the semi-final of the club pairs Mark Perry and Joe Menchin took on Peter Piggott and Al Davies.
After an even start Piggott lead 7-5.
Perry and Menchin rallied to hit the front 13-8 after 12 ends but as often happens in bowls they got stuck on the dreaded 13 as Piggott and Davies got a 22-13 lead.
Perry got back to trail 22-18 but Piggott finished too well to win 26-18.
Piggott and Davies now go on to play Steve Jackson and Kim Alexander in the final.
In the socials Jeff Howden and Judy Egan were too clever for Greg Anderson and Tiger Feltham as they led from the second end onward to win 23-14.
Craig Pugsley and Daryl Archer were in fine form as they lead 10-2 after 6 ends.
Their opponents Kim Alexander and Peter Matchett had no answers as Puggs and Archer went on with the job to win 23-14.

The big winners on the day were Peter Williams and Barry Jackson who gave Pommie Williams and Craig Brown a free lesson as they only dropped 4 ends in a huge 34-7 win to take home the money.
Bowlers are reminded that the minor singles have to be completed with the draw on the bowls board.
The last weekend in August we will be holding our annual Triples game so get your teams in with Craig Pugsley if you want to be in this great weekend of bowls.
