The tough conditions has not worried the likes of Rod Bright who is one of the longest hitters in the club and he showed this when he returned the best stableford score of the day with 41 points.
His long hitting saw him reach some of the par fives in two and enjoying short irons into the par fours while the majority of the field struggled with the extra meters.
His excellent round gave him the A grade prize with the runner up voucher going to the inform Blake Bender on 39 points. Best A grade scratch score again went to Bill Oldfield with 70.
In B grade, the winner was Mark Willmott on 37 on a countback from runner up Geoff Thompson who also secured the best scratch score with an 83.
John Griffiths was best in C grade with a score of 39 points with Griffiths also returning the best scratch score with a 88. Newcomer to competition golf Jackson Bostock was runner up with 38 points on a countback.
Vouchers went down to those with 33 points ocb and they were Max McCann, Gary Marshall, Don Wolfenden, Ben Oldfield, Carlos Garibotto, Brian Judge, Lleyton Guest, Ross Harrington, Luke Oldfield, Leo Murnane, Mick Bennett, Frank Mantle, Dave Thompson, Andrew Burton, Harry Bender, Troy Luka, Geoff Wheeler, Brian Bourke and Blake Goldspink.
The winner of the Wednesday, June 10 nine hole competition was Steve Jennings with a score of 23 points. Runner up was Rick Cohen on 24 points and third was Mark Willmott on 20 points.
Vouchers went to those with 15 points and better and they were Richard Mara, Tom Jennings, John Griffiths, Anthony Potts, Max McCann, Dave Muir, Carlos Garibotto, Steve McCann, Geoff Houlison and Paul Stewart.
The winner of the Friday, June 12 nine hole competition was Dave Duroux on 29 points. Runner up was Harry Bender on 22 points.
Vouchers went down to those with 18 points and better and they were Gary Marshall, Al Glendinning, Steve May, Trevor Cameron and Mark Willmott.
Saturday's event (20/6) will be a single par event.
