
The results from this Saturday's stableford event at the Lithgow Golf Club was particularly pleasing for the future of the club with the majority of winners coming out of the younger age group of members.

It was another big field with the A grade winner being Blake Bender who returned a 37 points carrying on his good form from the day before when he also won the nine hole Friday competition.
Runner up to Bender on 36 points on a countback was Brock Egan who is a player with a lot of promise.
Best scratch score was Chris Neville who shot a brilliant three under par 69.
In B grade, young Tallan Egan continues to turn in good scores and has cut his handicap dramatically.
Egan returned a score of 41 points and carded the best scratch score of 81. Runner up was another young player with promise in Lleyton Guest who has been in good form of late and he returned 37 points.
Another young teenager, Blake Goldspink took out C grade with the best stableford score of the day with 42 points.
This is an excellent score for Goldspink as the course has been playing extremely long especially on Saturday with the course having been saturated with heavy rain through the night.
Runner up was Mark Seckold on 37 points on a countback
.Best C grade scratch score went to Rob George with 90.
Vouchers went to those with 32 points and better and they were: Rod Clarke, Pat Wall, Paul Bosman, Greg Jackson, Rod Bright, John Chadwick, Rob Ritchie, Jackson Bostock, Peter Hall, Max McCann, Dave Muir, Bill Oldfield, Ben Oldfield, Harry Bender, Anthony Oldfield, Gary Wallace, Dave Hicks, Peter Thompson, Eli Felton and John Murnane.
The winner of the Wednesday, May 20 nine hole competition was Steve McCann on 24 points. Runner up went to Ross King on 23 point ocb and Dave Duroux and Ben Oldfield came third on 23 points.

Vouchers went down to those with 19 points and better and they were Anthony Oldfield, Paul Bosman, Bill Oldfield, Wayne Morris, Dick Mara, Peter Williams, Rob Ritchie, Steve Mays, Geoff Houlison and Chris Goodsell.
The winner of the Friday, May 22 nine hole competition was Blake Bender on 26 points. Runner up went to Rob George on 25 points ocb and third was Mark Willmott on 25 points.
Voucher winners went down to 21 points and successful were Nick Bender, Gary Marshall, Mickey Casey, Jeff Geddes and Mark Seckold.
