One caravan is located right by the Zig Zag Railway where Petra Avenue joins Chifley Road and more are expected to come into the region. There are currently 10 clean up caravans stationed across the state.
According to a Laing O'Rourke media release the caravans were a great signal for local residents that the clean up effort was coming to town.
"The caravans provide a place for local contractors and Laing O'Rourke staff members to meet, hold safety briefings, share updates on their progress and discuss the upcoming work program," it read.
It stated in the local area, Laing O'Rourke teams would be on the ground working with local subcontractors in over 50 locations across the Blue Mountains, Hawkesbury, Lithgow, Wollondilly and Wingecaribee regions.
