Scotia Tracey from Lithgow City Library has coordinated a wonderful Anzac Day display in the Library windows focusing on the service and sacrifice of Australian service men and women in international conflicts since Federation.

Scotia worked with Library staff, Kellie Drengenberg and Michelle Lane, as well as Michelle's mother, Margaret Ferguson, who helped make the large paper poppies while she was self isolating.
Lithgow Tidy Towns Committee, unable to create an installation in Gallery Lane because of the COVID-19 restrictions, also contributed the soldier silhouettes and the Australia map recognising the contribution of the army, navy and air force.
"Great credit is given to Tidy Towns member, George Quinell, for this installation as well as for the poem he wrote, displayed proudly in the Library window," Lithgow Tidy Towns secretary Kathleen Compton said.
"Photos in the window show family members of Scotia, Kellie and Michelle."
The family members include Scotia's grandfather, Burnett Stringfellow, who served in World War I, while Kellie's grandfather, John Thomas Coe, served in World War II. Michelle's father, Edward Ferguson is also featured and he also served in World War II.
"Great work all on a very moving display," she said.
