A MAN has been arrested and will face court on a number of charges after police seized firearms and ammunition from a home in Lithgow.

At 2pm on Friday, April 17, officers attached to Chifley Police District attended a home on Lett Street in Lithgow to speak with a man.
Police entered the home after speaking with the man, locating and seizing nine firearms and ammunition.
The 66-year-old was arrested and taken to Lithgow Police Station.
He was charged with use offensive weapon with intent to commit indictable offence; possess unauthorised prohibited firearm; not keep firearm safely-prohibited firearm; category C, D or H licensee not comply with storage needs; five counts of possess or use a prohibited weapon without permit; stalk/intimidate intend fear physical harm; and common assault.
His firearms licence was suspended.
The man was given conditional bail to appear at Lithgow Local Court in June.
