The Lithgow region still has less than five COVID-19 cases confirmed.

In the NBMLHD they have conducted 5765 tests thus far, having a 1.6 per cent positive rating.

The Western NSW health district has slowly seen an increase in cases over the past week with the latest case in the Coonamble local government area, making it the second case for this council region.

The number of COVID-19 cases in all other LGAs has remained stable.

Bathurst and Orange still have the most cases with nine in each LGA, while Orange has recorded one death earlier this week.

The Dubbo LGA has six cases, Mid-Western has four, Blayney has three and there are two cases in Cabonne.

While there is one case each in Narromine, Warren, Warrumbungle and Weddin LGAs.

In the Western NSW Local Health District (LHD), eight people have now recovered from COVID-19.

There have still been no confirmed cases in the following council areas: Cowra, Forbes, Bogan, Oberon and Parkes.

The number of locally acquired cases where the contact has not been identified remains stable with at least one case in Dubbo, Narromine and Orange council areas.

A Western NSW LHD spokeswoman said it was critical that everyone continued to practice social distancing to minimise the risk of the transmission of COVID-19.

"This is important for everyone, but particularly for older people and people with health conditions that make them more vulnerable," she said.

"It's also important that we protect our health care workers who we need to stay well to provide care to people who become sick with COVID-19."

Meanwhile, across NSW there are 2298 confirmed cases from the 110,537 tests conducted.
