Lithgow mayor Ray Thompson took time out from his busy schedule for a round of golf at the Lithgow Golf Club with the event being a stableford event.

Conditions are still tough as they have been over a month or so with the course playing extremely long but there were still those that made light of their handicaps.
Thompson had all parts of his game in order and returned the best stableford score of the day with an excellent 40 points.
The score was good enough to take out C grade and also won the scratch score with 91.
Six points back on 34 was runner up Warren Kennedy.
In A grade a countback was needed to separate the winners and it was Dave Titcume that triumphed counting out Darren Hunter after both golfers returned 38 points.
Hunter also had the best scratch score with 70.
In B grade, Peter Thompson was best with 38 points.
Geoff Thompson was runner up on 36 points and Dave Hicks had the best scratch score with a 84.
Those to win vouchers were Don Farnsworth, Paul Bosman, Gary Keen, Brian Judge, Max McCann and John Bird. Vouchers cut out on 34 ocb.
Nearest to the pin awards went to Bill Oldfield, Anthony Oldfield, Damien Marjoram, Dave Titcume and Brian Judge.
The winner of the Wednesday, March 18 nine hole event went to Heath Egan on 29 points. Runner up was Lleyton Guest with 26 points on a countback.
Third place went to Scott Hunter on 26 points with Brian Judge fourth on 24 points.
Vouchers went to Geoff Dukes, Leo Murnane, Kevin Hughes, Steve Jennings, Mark Bennett, Peter Williams, Steve McCann and Brian Quick.
Vouchers cut out on 20 ocb.

The winner of the Friday, March 20 nine hole competition was Max Nightingale on 27 points.
Runner up was Michael Bennett on 25.
Vouchers went to Dave Duroux and Paul Stewart and cut out at 23 ocb.
