That's what Lithgow's Bruce Ryan celebrated in August 2019 in his roles with the NSW Electricity Commission, known today as EnergyAustralia and the Department of Education.
Mr Ryan recently received a certificate from Bathurst MP Paul Toole recognising his career in the Public Service.
Five years ago he also received a Premier's Award for services to the people of NSW.

Mr Toole said Mr Ryan's current recognition was a reward for a man who truly has his community's best interests at heart.
"Apart from his impeccable record in Public Service, outside work Bruce is also part of the founding team which has established a tall trees arboretum at Wallerawang's Lake Wallace.
"He is also involved with the Lithgow Band's and over the years has been prominent in amateur musical stage shows in Lithgow.
"I cannot think of a more deserving community member than Bruce Ryan for this recognition certificate," he said.
