The weather was in the lady bowlers favour on Wednesday, February 26 with 18 ladies turning up to play three games of triples and the club minor singles.

It was also trophy day with Danny Maruschko's team of Gaye McGuirk and Bev Stait winning the money with a score of 22/9/.
The score was no indication of the game with some beautiful shots played from both teams.
Beryl Baker, Lyn Drury and Marg Ferguson defeated Jean Gurney, Judy Edwards and Fay King 19/15 in a very close game.
Marg Gibbons, Lyn Bulkeley and Sheila Jordon defeated Cheryl Wotton, Lesley Wright and Pam Rivette with a score of 22/14.
They were all great games and it was great to get on the green in the beautiful sunshine.
The most important game of the day was the Club Minor Singles with Betty Newcombe playing Marie Stewart.
Newcombe got off to a good start, on the fourth end the score was 7/1, then Stewart started to score some beautiful shots to draw closer to Newcombe.
Newcombe then started to get a good lead on end 17 with the score being 19/8 then Stewart found the green and picked up 9 shots and on end 25 the score being 22/17 to Newcombe.
Stewart kept fighting until the 29th end the score was 23/20 in favour of Newcombe who only needed 2 shots to win on end 30 and became the 2020 Minor Singles Champion.

It was a brilliant game to watch with some lovely bowls being played and a hard fought game in the heat with both players having a five minute break.
Lithgow City are going into Pennants with one team in the 3s and one in the 5s and would like to wish all ladies good luck in the pennants.
We have had two games of club fours played Beryl Baker, Marg Ferguson, Marie Stewart and Bev Stait defeated Fay King, Irene Watkins, Ann Anderson and Cheryl Wotton on Tuesday, February 25.
Beryl Baker, Marg Ferguson, Marie Stewart and Bev Stait defeated Ina Hunter, Kerri Benard, Marg Gibbons and Gloria Davidson.
All these games were great to watch there were social games played as well.
