With hot temperatures across the region, Bathurst MP Paul Toole said the upgrades were made possible thanks to a NSW Government grant of $58,399 from its Stronger Country Communities Fund.
"It's great to see the work completed because these improvements are not only great news for the Portland community, but also for visitors from Lithgow and Bathurst," he said.
"The Portland Pool is very much a valued community facility and is more than just a place to go for a swim and cool down.
"It is a social spot for friends and families to gather and is used by local schools to teach children to swim and host swimming carnivals."

Mr Toole said the kiddies pool needed urgent attention as it was built in 1958 and had cracked tiles which posed safety issues for users.
"It is also used by children from the local community and importantly is used to teach kids aged from only a few months old to eight years to swim," he said.
"As the pool also hosts swimming carnivals each season for the local schools and district representative meets, there is a need to update the outdated diving blocks on the main pool."
Mr Toole also noted the makeover for Portland Pool also included upgrades to the perimeter fence which has now made the complex safe and secure as well more visually attractive.
