The closure of the landfill will be on Sunday, February 2 and is in accordance with Council's adopted Waste Strategy and follows a community consultation process in 2018
Residents affected may use either the Portland or Capertee landfills.

Council has also reminded residents that some wastes are not accepted at rural sites and must be taken to the Lithgow Solid Waste Facility.
