Lithgow Workmen's Football Club is set to kick into 2020 on a high following its successful 2019 season.
Last year was an extremely successful year for the club which saw all five of its teams play some stunning football.
The Workmen's first grade side went on to be minor premiers and grand final winners in a nail-biting penalty shootout against Abercrombie FC.
Both second grade teams battled their way through the finals with the Red side coming runners up in the grand final.
The club's third grade and U16s side were also part of the final fever playing some exceptional football on the field.
The Workmen's club also demonstrated their skill and enthusiasm when they made it to the top eight teams in the NSW Bill Cullinan State Cup for a second year running.
Workmen's first grade captain Matt Nunan said the club were in a good place right now, and there were more good things to come.
"Last year was a great year, we had a lot of young guys come through second grade and into the first grade team.
"The plan is to build first grade up again," he said.
Training for the 2020 season is set to commence on Sunday, January 19 at 4pm at the Marjorie Jackson playing fields.
Club head coach is Jock Hunter, to keep up to date with the club head to the Lithgow Workmen's Club Facebook page.
