Lithgow High School is celebrating the success of their year 12 students receiving their Higher School Certificate results today, Tuesday, December 17.

Students at Lithgow High were awarded nine band six results (more than 90 out of 100) in a range of subjects including mathematics, mathematics extension 1 and 2, biology, visual arts and music.
Students also received 48 band five results, across multiple subjects.

The school continued its strong tradition of performance in Visual Arts where four students; Jessie Kouch, Caleb Barnes, Raquel Livingston and Lauren Trounce had successful nominations in the ArtExpress exhibition. Miranda Swift was also successfully accepted to Texstyles for her work.
The year 12 cohort achieved outstanding results across all courses, a culmination of six years of dedication to their studies, principal Ann Caro said.
"The schools focus over the past four years has been on raising academic standards with the very successful implementation of additional Senior Tuition, and the 2019 year 12 group achieved highly," she said.
Ms Caro said the school was delighted with this year's strong HSC results.
"We have seen some outstanding results in the 2019 HSC, it is a testament to all of the hard work undertaken by the students and staff with the support of their families," she said.
"Our distinguished achievers have always had a tireless work ethic, and have spent many hours preparing, practicing and studying for their HSC and fully deserve the results they have achieved."
She also wanted to congratulate all the students who achieved early entry into their chosen University courses or have been selected in apprenticeships.
"This recognises our students' abilities and dedication, it is great to see we are producing well rounded students that are sought by institutes and employers," she said.
"The staff of Lithgow High School congratulates all the year 12 2019 students and wish them the best for their future".
