Forms are available at Portland Newsagency or Portland Post Office, where completed nominations can also be left in the box provided.
They will close on December 31, 2019. Presentations will be made as part of the official ceremony.
Preparations continue for the Australia Day celebrations in Portland, which will be held on Wolgan Street on Sunday, January 26, 2020 from 10am to 3pm, with the official ceremony to commence at 12 noon with the flag raising by Portland Scout groups and singing of the national anthem with the assistance of Lithgow City Band.
There will be entertainment, activities for the children and fun and games thanks to Miriam Palmer and her group along with flags and balloons.
It is anticipated that there will be an array of stalls once again and a barbecue manned by Portland Scouts and Guides along with other items of interest.
It is hoped that the community of Portland, will once again come to the fore and support these celebrations.
Full details of the program will be publicised, once they are finalised.
