"The Mayor's Christmas Appeal is an opportunity for the community to donate a small gift to elderly residents living in aged care facilities across the LGA," said Mayor Ray Thompson.
Small gifts such as crochet coat-hangers, soft smelling lotions, fluffy socks, comfortable slippers, Santa hats, personal cosmetic wipes, mind games like Scrabble, crossword puzzles, and Sudoku, and chocolate treats and cookies are greatly appreciated.
All gifts must be unused, wrapped in Christmas paper and tagged with "male" or "female".
They can be dropped off at council's administration building at 180 Mort Street Lithgow or at any one of council's libraries by Friday, December 13.
