Lithgow Workies held its annual champagne breakfast to kick off a day of fashion and horse racing on Tuesday, November 5.
Horse racing fans put on their best outfits and gathered at 8.00am for a delicious meal to get the festivities for Melbourne Cup under way.
From mimosas and bacon and eggs, to toast and coffee, everyone enjoyed their meal in the club's bistro.
There will also be a best dressed competition at 1.30pm in the Workies Showroom.
Other race day festivities around town include a buffet lunch at Club Lithgow at 12.30pm and a Chinese luncheon at Portland RSL at 12.30pm. The RSL will also hold a ladies best hat and men's loudest shirt competition.
