Despite coming second in his home race at the Marangaroo circuit, Seymour had secured enough points over the season to take out the title.
"It was a very good feeling to win a championship at home in Lithgow," he said.
"Having my team there on the weekend to give me a hand and to celebrate the win felt amazing.
Seymour said he felt proud of the effort his whole team had given to get the win.
"Lots of time and effort has gone in to get where we have got to," he said.
Seymour sights his consistency as a racer as his best skill in racing.
"I won a state title in 2016 but that was in a different class, I hadn't won this class before so that was a big achievement," he said.
"The competition in this class was a lot harder."
Seymour got into karting eight years ago through seeing friends of his compete.
"I wanted to get into it when I was younger but now seems like the best time," he said.
