On Saturday, August 3 at 9.30am Watts-Braman attended Lithgow Correctional facility to visit a friend. Upon his arrival he was seen picking up two small orange marble sized balloons, which allegedly contained tobacco, from inside his vehicle and placed them inside his pocket.
Spotted by correctional facility staff, he was asked to be searched in which he then proceeded to swallow the balloons. Lithgow Police were contacted, when he admitted what he did.
Drink driving
Portland man Trent Joiner, 27, has been fined $500 and disqualified from driving for two months for low range drink driving while on his P1 licence.
Joiner was stopped at a mobile random breath test on Friday, August 30 on Williwa Street in Portland when he blew a positive result. Joiner was taken to Lithgow police station where he returned a reading of 0.072.
Licence expired
Little Hartley man Kelvin Lampton, 43, has been fined $500 and entered into a conditional release order for driving with an expired licence and mid range drink driving.
Lampton was stopped for a random breath test on Main Street in Lithgow on Saturday, August 31. Lampton recorded a positive road side breath test and was taken back to Lithgow Police Station. At the station he recorded a 0.083 reading, and with further checks, police confirmed he was driving with an expired licence.
Drug driving
Bathurst man Janda Nichols, 20, has entered into a 12 month conditional release order for driving a vehicle with an illicit drug present in his blood.
Nichols, a provisional two driver, was stopped on the Great Western Highway at Mt Lambie between 11.30 and 11.45am on Saturday, April 13 for drug testing, where he returned a positive reading.
He was taken back to Lithgow police station to conduct secondary oral fluid tests which came back positive for cannabis.
Drugs
Lithgow woman Leia Morris, 36, was fined $400 for possessing 0.005 grams of methylamphetamine.
Unsecured items
Kanimbla man Bradley Kay, 19, has entered into a conditional release order for six months after he was charged with driving/towing with an unsecured load.

On Tuesday, July 30 around 5pm, Kay was spotted by police on Barton Street Avenue in Wallerawang towing a trailer loaded with unsecured jerry cans, box of PVC pipe fitting and other cables.
The machine in the trailer was strapped down but none of the other items were secured, despite straps being available for fastening.
