To kick start the school holidays the Lithgow Cares committee held a family fun day on Wednesday, October 2 at Saville Park in Portland.

Kids enjoyed face painting, a jumping castle, an animal petting zoo, getting to sit in emergency vehicles, play games and a sausage sizzle.
The Lithgow Lions Club, LINC, Portland fire brigade, Portland fire and rescue, Portland SES, headspace, Thrive, Lithgow Community Projects and more, set up stalls at Saville park.
The stalls each had activities for the kids and parents to participate in and with perfect weather the day saw a good turn out.
