Despite the windy and cold conditions, Rydal offered an array of entertainments and activities over the two days of the weekend.
The festival, held annually in September to coincide with the emergence of daffodils around the town, showcases the historic village as well as feature gardens around the district.
As well as lovers of gardens, the festival showcases the artistic talents of the region, featuring an art show and a sculpture path
The Rydal Railway Station turns 150 this year as does St Matthew's Church. Both will be open for you to see and the Station Master's Residence in now available for short term bookings.
The Sculpture in the Park exhibition is on display in Pioneers Park and visitors will help choose the people's choice award.
Daffodils at Rydal continues on Saturday and Sunday, September 14 and 15.
