Students received prizes for participation and for the colouring competition that was held earlier this term.
This year's Book Week theme is 'Reading is my secret power' and teachers said they hoped this encouraged students to have a life long love of reading.
After the official parade, Book Week celebrations continued over at the primary section with guests invited to open classrooms where students read and showed off their recent school work.
