In 2018 there were just over 1500 Active Kids vouchers created for the Lithgow region's school kids, which could be spent on covering the cost of registration, participation and membership fees for sport, fitness and active recreational activities.
The latest figures released for the first six months of 2019 showed there were more Active Kids in the area than ever before, with more than 1450 vouchers created.
This year the Active Kids program will provide two vouchers valued at $100 each.

Member for Bathurst Paul Toole said the Active Kids rebate was a success story in the making and he was confident for the use of the second voucher.
"From July 1 people can apply for the second voucher. Voucher 1 is valid from January to December and Voucher 2 is valid from July to December.
"With each voucher worth $100, that means a saving of around $300,000 for local families since the scheme started," he said.
Mr Toole said the second voucher meant children could now be involved in both summer and winter sports, and urged parents, guardians and carers to apply.
