Neville Longdon and Max Tattersall played Mark Seckold and Brian Judge in the final of the Handicap Pairs Championship at Lithgow Workmen's Bowling Club last Saturday, July 13.

Neville and Max won the contest 21 shots to 17.
The Handicap Pairs championship is an opportunity for newer bowlers and social bowlers to be competitive, by giving each player a handicap to level the contest.
Brian Judge, one of the top skips in the club, was on zero and Mark Seckold was on 12 but had to give Neville and Max a six shot start.

After five ends Brian and Mark had caught up and levelled the score at nine all. The score then see-sawed. At the thirteenth end Neville and Max were behind 17 to 14.
But Neville and Max were not to be denied and Neville with great lead bowls regularly drew a close shot and Max consistently consolidated the head.
Try as they might Brian and Mark could not convert and Neville and Max went on to win the last five ends and the game.
