A LEARNER driver has copped fines worth more than $2000 after he was allegedly caught speeding on the Great Western Highway.

NSW Police Traffic and Highway Patrol Command officers spotted the Mazda 6 sedan travelling on the Great Western Highway at Yetholme, between Bathurst and Lithgow.
The vehicle was detected travelling at 135km/h in a 100km/h zone.
The 26-year-old male driver from Sydney was the sole occupant of the car.
His driver's licence was suspended for three months and this will come after another three-month suspension the driver incurred for another offence.
He was also issued with infringements for exceed speed over 30kph, learner unaccompanied and no L plates.
