The Talented Mr Ripley is an American film and an adaption of Patricia Highsmith's 1955 novel of the same name.
The film stars Matt Damon as Tom Ripley, Jude Law as Dickie Greenlead, Gwyneth Paltrow as Marge Sherwood and also stars Cate Blanchett and Philip Seymour Hoffman.
The plot follows a young man called Tom Ripley who struggles to make a living in 1950's New York City with his 'talents' of telling lies, forging signatures and impersonating people.

While working at a party as a piano player, he is approached by a wealthy ship builder who mistakenly believes that Ripley attended Princeton University with his son Dickie.
Ripley is recruited for $1000 to travel to Italy to persuade Dickie to return home.
During the voyage Ripley strikes up a friendship with an American socialite, while pretending to be Dickie.
The movie was nominated for over 40 awards and won for Best Composer, Best Director and Best Supporting Actor.
The movie will screen on Friday, July 5 at 10.30am and Sunday, July 7 at 2pm.
