The teams battled in Lithgow on Saturday, June 1 and left with a final result of 1-1. Mackenzie Stewart put one away for the Panthers and Bec Bosianek scored for City.
Panthers coach David Marshall said the team didn't play as best as they could but he was happy enough with a scrappy score.
"We didn't go too bad, had four of our critical starting lineup players out today but we went well considering the amount of players we had," he said.
Despite the lack of crucial team mates Marshall said Bianca Hemmy had an outstanding game along with Cheryn Van Veen.
"I thought they played quite well they were probably our two best players today," he said.
Still sitting on top of the premier league table for now, Panthers will take on the CYMS after the long weekend and Marshall was hopeful to retain the team's position.
"The CYMS have only been beaten once and we haven't been beaten yet, this is our first draw this year and the girls are up for the challenge," he said.

He also said most of his critical players would be back in time for the game.
"Those girls will be able to strengthen us up in the mid-field, we've still got a long way to go until the end of the season so I suppose we will see how we go but so far, so good," he said.
Bathurst City captain and striker Bec Bosianek said it was City's second draw so far this season and overall she thought the team worked well.
"Our talk was much better this week, we moved the ball around well and made the most of our opportunities we had," she said.
She also said her team didn't have one stand out player, rather they all worked really well together.
"We supported each other and the ball, we were hopeful for a win but we'll try in a couple of weeks we want to make the final four in the season," she said.
Both sides will take a week off for the June long weekend and will return on June 15.
