Chimps battle Lemurs and Baboons were against Gorillas. Despite a great set win by Dawn Café and Lyn Lambert for Lemurs, solid returns by Carolyn Andison and court coverage by Tania Sharp for Chimps ensured their 33-21 victory.

It was a seesawing game between Baboons and Gorilllas with accurate serves by Leanne Morgan and cross court returns by Pam Fields for Gorillas putting pressure on Baboons.
Margie Lowe and team mate Liz Inzitari responded well and forced a 27-27 draw. After the school holidays Orangutans played Chimps while Gorillas played Lemurs.
Long rallies by Susan Johns and accurate lobs by Liz Conroy for Orangutans made their oppositions bring out their A game. Pat Kearns never ending returns combined with Margaret Donachie's great placement allowed Chimps to snatch victory 28-26.
Leanne Fitzgerald and Lyn Lambert consistently played great shots for Lemurs however Kerry Higlett's speed around the court and Jill Young's sharpness on the net enabled Gorillas to win 30-24.

Ladies Midweek Summer Competition started with Baboons v Chimps and Orangutans v Lemurs. Bev Kelly fast serves combining with Pat Kearns consistent placement of the ball for Chimps were rewarded by winning the first set.
However Baboons played their heart out with Sandy Cox doing long rallies and Robyn Patterson' clever passing shots enabled them to win 37-17.
It was a close match between Orangutans and Lemurs with Carol Osborne combining well with Debbie Edgell to win vital points for Orangutans. Val Henry and Dawn Café's skill and grit ensured their close 28-26 triumph.
It was a pleasant sunny day for the matches between Orangutans v Gorillas and Baboons v Lemurs. Pam Field and Jill Young continually played good tennis for Gorillas however Margaret Vidler fierce competitiveness combined well with Liz Conroy steady returns for Orangutans for them to enjoy a 36-19 win.
It was another seesawing game between Baboons and Lemurs with both team vying for vital points. For Baboons Lorraine Dowler's endless stamina and Robyn Patterson's defensive play made Val Henry and team mate Lyn Lambert's unflappable determination to win vital points. However this match ended in a well deserved 27-27 draw.
The presentation and luncheon will be held on June 6 at the Lithgow Workies Club starting at 11.15am.
