Both teams were vying for their first win of the season in the Group 10 competition, and with some strong defence the Tigers came out on top 24-10.
The first tackle of the match saw Workies penalised for a spear head tackle and the penalties for the team didn't stop there.
With some missed opportunities for the home side, Oberon managed to open the scoring in the 11th minute.
Tiger's right winger Tye Siakisoni found open field and was able to run under the post to secure the first points of the match.
Oberon's five eighth Farren Lamb had a strong kicking game, converting the kick to start the match off 6-0.
The Tigers continued to show their dominance with another try in the 16th minute after hooker Richard Peckham showed his strength crossing the line with three of Lithgow's players trying to hold him up.
With almost 22 minutes still to go in the first half, Lamb was able to convert his kick once again to take the score to 12-0.
"Really pleased to get our first win and we know it's hard to win here, because Lithgow are always tough at home, we have had two close losses and it's great to get the points on and secure the win," Oberon Tigers secretary Neil O'Grady said.
The Wolves seemed to lose focus in the last 20 minutes of the first half, with not much organisation on the field, keeping the score at 12-0 going into half time.
"Look I suppose the good thing about it was that it was an improvement from where we were last week, you could see the energy there from the boys, but we are still giving the sides early starts like 12-0 at half time, the game ends up 24-10," Workies Wolves coach Graeme Osborne said.
"We just have to cut out those undisciplined errors, that's it in a nutshell, you shouldn't be making those mistakes in grade 10 football, and if you keep making those mistakes you are going to keep getting beaten."

Getting their heads back in the game, Lithgow's right centre, Greg Alderson scored the Wolves first points of the match in the 16th minute of the second half.
Five eighth Josh Howard made his only conversion of the match, taking the score to 12-6.
Oberon hit back almost at once, with front rower Josh Starling going over the line. Lamb was able to convert the try once again, stretching Oberon's lead to 18-6.
"I think the last 30 minutes was pretty positive footy, I think they showed themselves what they can do when they want to do it...it's just building on that and moving forward," Osborne said.
With 10 minutes left, Oberon hooker Peckham found another hole in the Workies line and was able to score his second try of the match, taking the score to 22-6, before Lamb made his last conversion of the game.
"Our best and fairest was our hooker Peckham, he played a solid 80 minutes in defence and attack and scored a couple of tries which was good," O'Grady said.
With some desperate last ditch energy, Wolves hooker Harry Bender was able to find the line with four minutes to go, taking the game to 24-10.
"The second half was 12-10 but we just can't keep giving silly mistakes, undisciplined errors and penalties, we are just struggling and those things take some time to resolve, we just go to learn the hard way," Osborne said.
"Corey Willmott was the best player in the park by far, Harry Bender played well and I thought both our centres played well, Greg Alderson and Keelan Bresac."
