Dr Jennings, who is running for the Calare electorate, said he wanted to meet with locals to see what issues they were concerned about and to discuss Labor policies.
Dr Jennings said his main focus was on reversing cuts to our local hospital, upgrading TAFE in Lithgow and spending on education.
"The Labor government will invest $200 million upgrading TAFEs around NSW which Lithgow will benefit positively from," he said.
"We will also waive the upfront fees for 100,000 TAFE students."
Dr Jennings spoke about the need for world standard early childhood education.
"Childcare costs will be cut as part of a $4 billion package," he said.
"This will save people up to $2000 per child per year."

Federal Labor is promising to cut the cost of child care for hundreds of thousands of families, making it free for some low-income households.
Families earning up to $69,000 will get their child care free according to Dr Jennings.
"It is fact that children aged 3 to 4 need 15 hours a week of brain stimulation and we want to be able to provide that to all families," he said.
According to Dr Jennings he spoke to a constant flow of people while situated at Cook Street Plaza.
"We were discussing a real mix of local and federal issues," he said.
Those issues included energy, the health system, and cuts to hospitals, Dr Jennings said.
